Dwan Abrams


Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Dwan Abrams has lived throughout the United States and Europe. When she graduated from King’s Academy High School, in New Jersey, with honors, she enlisted in the United States Air Force where she served honorably for four years. Her achievements included an early promotion and numerous awards. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a B.S. in Marketing.


Prior to becoming a novelist, editor, publisher, radio show host and speaker, Ms. Abrams worked in various management roles for nearly ten years for a Fortune 100 company.





Ms. Abrams is the bestselling author of Married Strangers, Divorcing the Devil (nominated for the 2008 African American Literary Awards Show), Only True Love Waits (winner of the 2007 Pen of the Writer POWER Award), The Scream Within and Favor (a short story appearing in The Midnight Clear anthology).


Ms. Abrams previously hosted a radio show, The Dwan Abrams Experience, on AM 1260 WTJH in metro Atlanta. In addition to writing books, Ms. Abrams is a journalist, freelance editor and professional speaker. Her articles have appeared in Images of Us and Nesting Solo magazine, and online at YourBlackWorld.com. She worked as the fashion editor for FIERCE411.com, a top site for women. Additionally, she’s the founder, publisher and editorial director of Nevaeh Publishing, LLC a small press independent publishing house.


She was inducted in the 2006 “Who’s Who” in Black Atlanta under the Entrepreneurs section. Currently, Ms. Abrams resides in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia with her family.
